Noddy Holder was born on June 15th, 1946, in Walsall, Staffordshire. When he was 13 years old, Holder formed a group titled Rockin’ Phantoms together with his school friends. His professional music career started in the 60s when he recorded some singles as a member of the band Memphis Cutouts.

Holder joined the band titled The ‘NBetweens in 1966, which was later renamed to Slade. Together with Jim Lea, Holder wrote the majority of the band’s song. Holder left Slade after 25 years to pursue his career in television and radio in 1992. Since then, he appeared in a number of TV shows, including The Grimleys from 1996 to 2001.

He hosted his own shows on radio and made many guest appearances on television. In 2007, Holder had the honor to join the ranks of celebs in the Birmingham Walk of Stars. He was married to Leandra Holder who gave birth to their two daughters, Charisse and Jessica. Since 2004, he is married to his second wife, TV producer Suzan Price. The couple has a son named Django.
