William Roache was born on April 25th, 1932, in Basford, United Kingdom. He was a soldier of the British Army until 1956. Then he chose his acting career, started with appearing in a number of stage productions. His first on-screen roles came in 1958, including episode role on TV series BBC Sunday-Night Theatre.
