Swedish painter Jwan Yosef became a celebrity practically overnight after popular singer Ricky Martin announced on Ellen DeGeneres Show that they became engaged. Although not as rich as Ricky, Yosef has a thriving artistic career in Sweden and Great Britain. As of 2016, Yosef’s total net worth is estimated to be about $400 thousand.

Jwan was born 1984 in Syria. He has Kurdish ancestry but his family immigrated to Sweden where he studied art at Pernby School of Painting. After that he visited also Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.

And how did he and Ricky met? Martin saw his artwork and was very impressed. He started collecting his paintings and eventually set up a meeting with him. Soon after that, Jwan and Ricky started dating. Martin proposed in November 2016 ad they already probably planning a marriage.

Most of Yosef’s art exhibitions took place either in Stockholm or in London. Yosef is a one of the founder studio holders at The Bomb Factory Art Foundation in London. He doesn’t do only paintings but also plastic art as well.
