Australian politician Bill Shorten is currently a Leader of the Australian Labor Party which makes him most prominent figure of the opposition. Most recently, he attacked what he calls “greedy banks”. According to him, they should be investigated for putting profits before customers interests. But he isn’t doing badly himself. According to some sources, he has allegedly a net worth of $2.4 million as of 2016.

His professional career started in ACTU and AWU unions. Since 2013, Shorten leads the Australian Labor Party.
From 2000 til 2008, Bill SHorten was married to Debbie Beale. His second wife is Chloe Bryce. They live in their house in Moonee Ponds with their three kids. Chloe started on an MBA degree at the University of Queensland but she didn’t finish because of the growing family.
Bill is known for his left-wing polical views and harsh opinions on banking sector. For example, Shorten recently said the banks undermined their case against a royal commission when they pocketed some of the reduction in the official interest rate instead of helping the economy. Needless to say, he and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull have different viewpoints on many topics.
